The Memory Care residence at The Leland is designed to create a therapeutic atmosphere in a home-like setting. Our residents suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s live in an environment that celebrates accomplishments and reinforces familiar patterns of family lifestyles. The safety and security of our memory care residents are of the utmost importance; because of this our memory care, residents can participate in daily activities like dressing, bed making, baking and so much more.
As with any assisted living case, we understand that each person’s support plan is different. Our team of trained caregivers develop an individual care and support plan with the help of their family. Including family in the support plan provides valuable insights into the needs of each resident. We believe family plays a large role in the memory care of each resident, and as a result, we encourage families to take an active role in the life and activities of their loved ones. It is also encouraged for families to provide furnishings or accessories for their loved one’s room; this enhances connectivity to familiar surroundings.
